stalking knives

Just got my EKA swinger off Wayne Davies. Appears to be the dogs conkers....cant wait to try it and seems good value. Thanks Wayne.

Just got two EKA swinger off Wayne Davies. Can't wait to get out and get one dirty. Plus Wayne's a great bloke very helpful.

Picked my EKA swingblade up from Wayne on Saturday and, better still, managed to smuggle it back into the house without arousing suspicion ("why on earth do you need another knife???") :D

HMMN Just thought the way it came in on a first post without intro, thought it might be the same guy who has tried a couple of times before. nice knife though.

does cold steel has a stalking knife? anyone knows?

I use them, they are excellent. The Master Hunter is big and expensive, the pendleton hunter is a more manageable size and not as expensive.

Yes, I use one of those along with an old Whitby folder with a decent blunt end gutting/skinning blade.

The Finnbear balances very well in the hand, has a superb edge and keeps it, and doesn't cost a fortune (£14.95) from Heinnie Hayes http://www.heinnie.com/Knives/Cold-Steel/Cold-Steel-Finn-Bear/p-92-127-2522/ It's copy of their Sisu knife, but at £298 I know which one I wouldn't mind losing!

As one reviewer put it "MORA MAY HAVE COMPETITION". Shame they don't yet do it in hi-viz orange.

Great little knife. I've been using mine for a few years now - keeps an edge better than the clipper and feels much better in the hand. I also own the Pendleton Hunter but usually i reach first for the bear.

My Finn Bear came in the post today, most impressed with the quality especially as its only £14.99 delivered! Will try it out on Sat or Sun or hopefully both

Looks very like a Puma, DD ,if it is its the best money can buy ,as you rightly know .
Knifes come in all shapes and sizes ive seen and used cut down paint scrapers made from carbon steel hellish to stop rusting but holds a fantastic edge .
Personally Its all Pumas Ive got which I'll continue to buy, I accept the price knowing all to well thats the price of quality , next to a optics its the thing you work with the most, thats where I'll put the cash every time is to quality .
A few years ago I stupidly broke a blade of my Puma game warden, Puma replaced the blade FOC with out question .

I also am a Puma fan. Had a White Hunter years ago that got stolen, recently bought a Bowie for myself, my daughter, and her fiance. Seriously good blades in my opinion. Hand sharpened mine and I can shave with it.

BEWARE! I noticed some of the lesser grades of Puma are now imported from China. Folders, mostly.~Muir
