    22 and 17hmr scopes

Do any of you guys have experience with an s&b 6x42 on a 22lr or would I be better off with 10x42? And also a zeiss duralyte 3-12x56 on a 17hmr? Cheers

I now use s&b 6x42 on my 22 and 17 HMR great low light powerful enough once you get used to it with the clear glass the head shoot rabbits at 130 ish.

The reticule is a little heavy but once you get used to it love it.

Cheers welsh warrior. Thinking a s&b 6x42 would be enough but does anyone have any experience with a 10x42? But think I'd like to put a zeiss 4-12x50 on the 17hmr when I get it for longer range crows ect

You may find 10x is too much for target acquisition at shorter ranges?

3-12 on 17 will be lovely....!!

So youz guys think I'd be better of with the 6 mag for 22? I suppose it's enough to head shoot easily at 60 yards right enough.. Yeah think I'm set on the zeiss for a 17

Personally, I'd go for a small variable - 3-9x50 or similar, but if you're stuck with the 6x42, its a fine scope - plenty on here that'd take it off your hands.

    Hi
Subject to how you find them I would suggest a 3-9x40 or 44 should be more than good enough on the .22lr; .17hmr would not be 'over-glassed' by a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 - become available every so often and now being discontinued for the Conquest DL. This line will be a EU offering.
Conquest warranty, though lifetime, requires shipping over to US.

The reason behind the 3-12x50 would be that if anything happened to my 8x56 on my 223 I could replace it with the duralyte..
