    Summer Stalking in North Wales?

This year's summer holidays are going to be on the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales. We'll be there last week of June and first week of July.

Can anyone recommend any accompanied stalking available nearby? Would be hoping to sneak away for a morning and/or evening somewhere and wondered what might be available...

    Cheers,

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

I live on Llyn Peninsular. Certainly no deer anywhere nearby.... Might be able to find you a rabbit or two, but even they're hotly contested!
    Foxing I can probably provide.
Have to go further up the North coast for deer, or down towards mid Wales.

Best of luck with that one Andy, we only have Fallow in pockets within North Wales. The odd Roe has made an appearance now and again but nothing in any numbers. Most of us over here have to travel for our stalking unless you are lucky enough to have some ground with Fallow on.

You'll need someone within the Welsh Marches that has roe on their ground Andy. No roe on mine locally and ground with munties is in Herefordshire so would be too far to travel. You might struggle with this one but good luck,

Maybe try some of the people who offer goat stalking?

You've got a better chance finding Elvis, than you have some stalking in the llyn area sadly.
You could try Elmer fudd, who’s based in Monmouthshire or Herbert in Hereford.
Other than that, there's some fantastic fishing to be had at either Trawsfynydd reservoir, or one of the surrounding rivers I often frequent for night time sea trout.
There's also some really good wild mountain lake fishing for wild brownies to be had that I know pretty well, and the majority are all free and at the base of Snowdon, hope that helps.

I was reading the replies and thinking "looks like it will be the fishing rods then!" Will have a good look at these links. Thanks!

Always like carting the travel spinning rod and some lures around in the boot of the car. Often easier to fit in some lure chucking off some likely looking rocks while the kids are enjoying the beach somewhere.

Andy, again, if you google Mynydd Mawr Caravan and Camping Site, my brother and I had some great fun on the mackerel with spinning gear off the rocks around that neck of the woods.
