    Thumbs up Roebuck

Nice looking beast! He looks big on the body or are you just short?

    A very nice head.

You could always PM sikamalc about getting it mounted.

Cheers, he was quite big for Roe but not huge, probably right about me being short.

Thanks, just looked at some of he's work and sent him a message, just waiting for a reply.
I have been in touch with a couple of people on the inter web, most are very busy and the rest only did birds, nice to find someone who is also a stalker and know what is required, fingers crossed I get a reply, cheers.

I am not sure but think you skin will be in some nick at this time of year. Beter to skull him out and get a new cape when the roe are in a tight coat. A taxidermist will tell you the best time.

6p could be right about the coat you know but if he's an older boy he may have hung on to that winter coat for a tad longer yet (older bucks shed last)- if you hadn't have shot him that is.

He's definitly got solid salt and pepper on the face certainly on his 4th head (5 years old) his antlers dont look like they are going back quiet yet either, have you got a picture of the teeth for interest?

P.S. Very nice BTW well done

Already been in touch with each other, and I have pointed out that this time of year is not ideal for a shoulder mount due to the Roe shedding their winter coat. A good skull mount would be the way to go.
