    Buying another moderator

Some advice please: I have 2 x Wildcat moddys but need to replace the on on my .243 Howa as it makes the rifle too front heavy. Do I need to have a spare moody slot on my certificate or do I just have to show that I have a condition for a .243 moddy and just buy another?

    you either
    a) add one more mod slot for AN Other rifle you have (unlikely the FEO will allow 2 mods on one rifle without a sudden affliction of common sense and a good argument) then sell the one you don't want.
    or
    b) sell one and get a one for one variation to keep the slot and buy the new one

    yes, its a ball ache,
yes, its overly administered and a waste of your and the FEO's time
    such is the system

Treat a moderator as if it's a rifle as regards disposal and acquisition.

Is your moderator listed on your ticket as a no name no number just something like full-bore moderator? Because how would they know you've then changed it?

Because rfd's are legally bound to notify the police of each sale of a firearm? If it were a moderator used on sub 12ft lb air rifles you might get away with it but not here.
