Ever put your mag down - and then wondered where?

Especially for a very good friend of mine (and member here) - who recently did a total of twenty odd miles with his mag atop the spare wheel on his jeep (ten odd miles home and then the ten odd back to look for it.....).....

Had the mag painted a more ....obvious.... colour to aid seeing it - when out of the rifle. Looks no different when inserted though. Other colours are available....... Much cheaper than a new mag.....!!

    Nice idea!

What paint did you use? Just an orange emulsion or something more fancy...?

woah! hold the phone there,,what's up with your rifle having the bolt handle on the wrong side?

Are left hookers more prone to losing gear then?
Thinking about it though, its not such a bad thing if the mags are bright orange all over.
Then at least if you have a cammo rifle you can find it again after leaning it up a tree.

Blaze Orange Cerakote, so extremely robust and no impact on the magazine release.

That's why I like fixed mags. If they could do fixed bolts even better.
