    Remington trigger

    Hi all

I know all about the Remi 700 recal. I was wondering how I can tell if I have a jewelled trigger as I have a jewelled bolt and may not be effected ?

I purchased the the gun second hand

    thanks

A jewell trigger blade is a lot narrower than the remi. If you bought it second hand the fella selling it would more than likely have told you because it would sell better.

Are you genuinely confusing jewelled (engine turning) with Jewel (a make of after market trigger), or are you trying to wind us up?
It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

Its not a jewel trigger or a jewelled trigger

    Standard remy factory trigger

What year and model is your M700? If it is an ADL in walnut with a jeweled bolt and pressed checkering it would be from the mid 1960s to the late 1970s.
All the M700s from beginning until the bogus lawsuits in the late 1980s had the original Walker trigger, which locks the bolt from lifting when on SAFE - my favorite.

The picture that Hulse has put up Southern shows a synthetic stock and smooth trigger blade. Wouldn't a 60-70s ADL factory trigger blade be ridged?

Is this any help to you Hulse in identifying a Jewel trigger http://www.realguns.com/Commentary/comar183.htm
I have to agree with rem284 and splash it looks like a standard factory trigger to me but I can't be certain.
