No mate camo doesn't work...never will!

Its one of the reasons that most of us have had an eff up over the years in not getting a shot. I always refute naysayers to 'look at the natural world ' (to see camo)

Here is an entrant in the Smithsonian photo comp.....see what i mean!

I could never get to grips with those pictures that you have to screw your eyes up to see the image.
I can speak in-depth and with great knowledge about most subjects until some bugger who actually knows what he is speaking about opens his gob .

Still believe camo was invented as a ploy to sell more clothing

It Has uses but not absolutely essential

    Of course camo works.

It's just that the majority of clothing we call 'camo' almost certainly isn't, from the point of view of the animals looking at it.

And bear in mind that something doesn't have to have carefully crafted multi-colour splotches to be camouflaged - roe deer are a pretty uniform grey (winter) or reddy-brown (summer), and they blend in extremely well.

The vast majority of human camouflage clothing is either designed to fool the buyer or designed to optimise concealment from other humans - neither of which optimises it for use against animals.
