Just about fell over: Price of Sierra bullets.

I was in the city last night seeing a lady friend and stopped into my favorite store to pick up some H4350. While waiting for the salesman to retrieve the powder from the back I browsed 20 cal bullets for the new 204 Ruger. Hornady 32 grain V-Max were $17/100 and $44/250. $80/500. That's about a 18% increase from prices I paid last year for my prairiedogging buddies. Ouch, right?? The 40 grain were about the same money within pennies.

Then I looked at Sierra 39 grain Blitz: $27.50/100 !! That's more than I paid for 30 caliber Game Kings last fall! I asked the salesman if those boxes were mis-marked and he said he didn't think so but he could check. I told him not to bother. I hope that's not a trend for the year with Sierra bullets....~Muir

Doubt you'll get much sympathy here- we pay almost double that already.

Not looking for sympathy, just showing the current state of affairs. If Sierras truly went up 40% here on the last run, imagine what's coming your way... ~Muir

I'm afraid so. And considering your regulatory process, the words "Stock up!" are wasted, I'm sure. ~Muir

I suspect the trend will continue and even increase .

My distributers haven't been giving me overly good news about quantity or cost of ANY components except shot !
