    Meat hygiene element of DMQ1

Can anyone advise me on where I can take the Meat Hygiene Course, I live in Ayrshire but close to D&G or Glasgow and north of. I passed my DMQ1 in June 2000 but I fell away from stalking due to work commitments. I would like to bring my DMQ1 up to standard. Any advice will be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Glenbuck

As JCS says, give DMQ a call, but you will most likely need to sit the Game Meat Hygiene Assessment.

    DMQ - FAQ about DSC1 amp DSC2

"Any DSC1 holder registered before 1 May 2006 who has not converted to Trained Hunter, may do so by sitting a Game Meat Hygiene assessment (by arrangement with any Assessment Centre) and paying the appropriate fee to the Assessment Centre. This fee will include the re-assessment cost plus a payment of £15 to DMQ for the re-issue of the certificate."

I’d look for someone offering the “small game” qualification at the same time so you come away ‘qualified’ to deal with rabbits and feathered stuff too.
