Thread: Muntys

  1. #1

Been over to Dave Hollingsworth at pennine taxidermy to take a woodcock in for mounting, was well impressed to find he had just won first place game head and 2nd place masters live size muntjac in the European taxidermy championships in Italy.
I recon they are superb I was thinking of having a mount done like the first one what does anyone else think ?

They are very good. Think I'd prefer a full mount to the ones 'cut in half' if that makes sense though? He did my CWD in my profile picture and in very pleased with it. Would happily use him again

Cut in half and had its feet removed....... Other than that, if that's what he can do, worth considering for a normal shoulder mount certainly, very nice

Real nice work but I'm not sure about the something missing ones also at least with a shoulder mount things stop at the wall which defines it .again very nice work .

Dave is fairly local to me and has done a lot of work for a couple of mates. The standard of his work is top class, some of the shoulder mounts I've seen of his look like they could turn and stare at you at any moment!

I would imagine to get a munty or roe done would be a small fortune?

Great to hear Dave has won these awards - he has done some great work for me over the years for quality stalking & shooting accessories
