    SGC/FAC Online

We live in a digital era, everything more or less online, why not have Firearms related inquiries(applications, variations, Q&A etc) online, even view your license online. What is your view.

It's only a matter of time, it's called e-commerce and all government departments and agencies were instructed to investigate the possibilities some time ago. Unfortunately one of the biggest problems is electronic signatures on documents and legal declarations and statements. The authority that I worked for went over to a mainly electronic system five years ago but still it was necessary to have paper records of some documents for legal reasons.
It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

I totally agree, if you can fill in and view a self assessment tax return online than why not administer firearms in the same way?

Because that only involves taking your money off you.

So long as it's not part of Gov.uk. The information seems to be written at a retarded 5 year old child's level. There is no detail.

Section 161 of the Highways Act 1980 (England & Wales) makes it an offence to discharge a firearm within 50 ft of the centre of a highway with vehicular rights without lawful authority or excuse, if as a result a user of the highway is injured, interrupted or endangered.
