Highseat from long ago - Now Forgotten

Wandering around on some National Trust land and came across this, long forgotten in the bluebells. Some deer stalker took a lot of time and effort building it once

Get it back up! Years of life left in that!

Thanks for the replies chaps. I'm with you 6pointer, it just seems to blend into the picture well, and yep, I too reckon its been on the floor a fair few years, judging by the growth of the moss. Still it was built well back in the day. Rungs were wired in, and the cross members were coach bolted into place. No expense spared, so will probably last a few more years yet. Bet that seat could tell a few tails of close encounters with monster bucks. the reason I visited the wood in the first place as I was underkeeper on the same estate before the National trust got it, and that particular wood was part of my beat. Happy Days!!
