    Ipad Case

    Hi All,

I have just been given a new Ipad Air as a birthday present, which I am very pleased with.

My question is I want to buy it a case to keep it smart (and in working order), is there a hardy case that will keep it safe and dry etc that anyone would recommend?

    Thanks for any tips.

    Best

I don't have the iPad Air, but for my iPad Retina I used a hard clam shell and the Apple Smart cover for ages and they stood up to a lot of abuse. When in my briefcase I'd put these inside a neoprene cover.

Now I use a Herring leather case, but I don't know that they make them any more.

Whatever case you choose, make sure it has lots of corner padding. A mate of mine is actually one of the plant engineers here in the states where they cast the gorilla glass for the screens. The glass is amazing when subject to direct impact (you can drop a bowling ball on it from 4 feet and it should resist breakage) however it have very low resistance to torsional stress. If is hits on a corner and twists the glass is likely to break.

A must have, kept my I-Phone dry in six feet of water, and absorbs the knocks and drops of
    everyday life without any problems.

Sounds like a lifeproof case is the winner then.

    Thanks all for the advice.
