    .22 hornet

hello. i have set my heart on a .22 hornet as a fox and rabbit rifle, i was wondering if it was possible to get a tikka t3 short action rebarreled into a hornet? im no gun smith so iv no idea if it is possible. would also use a sako action and stock if i could find one. if someone could let me know if it was possible that would be great, thanks

Short answer is No, not without a lot of work, i.e. sleveing the boltface and remachining an extractor, not to mention a cut out in the chamber for the extractor.
Take a look at a Weirauch HW 66 or Anshutz for a quality hornet. I had a a Sportco,Brno and Weirauch in K hornet. Great little rifles.

+ 1 for the CZ/ BRNO. One of the possatives with the .22Hoenet is it is a light gun to carry.

Agreed, even with a mod fitted, and you only need something like a T4.

Why ever would you want to put a lump of drain pipe on the end of such a nice light rifle ?
A Sac will do the job very well, won't last long, maybe 500 rounds, but at 35 who cares.
I used a couple and then went for a nice neat Pess S/S Rimfire can.

You'll save yourself money and heartache if you go with a CZ and simply get Joe West stocks to build you a laminate stock in your preferred styling and fit. He does a cracking thumbhole hunter or semi tactical that would make for a real winner if nicely bedded.

This will go a long way to addressing your dislike of rimfire proportions inherent and indeed desirable in the perfect mini actions used by CZ, Anschutz and Weihrauch.
