    Why bother with a consultation?

Even with 87% of those who replied against licensing McAskill is pushing ahead

BBC News - Scottish airgun licensing bill introduced

interesting because it seems that you can bring fac rifles to scotland but will have to apply for a visitors permit if you want to bring a non fac air rifle.

Wee Eck probably has not thought of that? Will and FAC air rifle also need an additional certificate?
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

Difficult to separate this piece of muppetry from all the rest that will follow? The independence 'debate' should be aired at every opportunity, in order that people come to see what foolishness they could wish upon Scotland.

Muppet McAskill is a complete nutter. To have this man in any position of authority is just laughable. After a while the polis will realise the whole thing is tosh and unworkable - rather like the hunting bill.
Its actually quite embarrassing to be a Scot and think this man is the best we have to do that job. God bloody help us!

"To put this into perspective this is less than 0.04 offences per airgun in Scotland and less than 0.004 for head of population. Around 12.4% of cars registered in Scotland are involved in an offence each year. It is also my understanding that there were more injuries caused by dog bites admitted to one hospital alone in Scotland than airgun offences (which do not always include injury) for the whole nation."
