Available: sacs deer rifle course

hi there guys i done sacs deer rifle course this weekend down in colraine at the bushtown hotel were they hold the course and thought it was very informative for any young person starting out shooting deer with a full bore rifle ,we sat 3 papers one on safety ,one on deer ID,and one on the gun laws in n.ireland.then we had to take a walk in the woods with an instructor and he would ask if this shot and that shot was safe etc ...then the next morning we had to head on to the mountain and take 3 shots lying at 100yds ,2 shots at 70yds sitting or kneeling and 2 shots standing with the aid of sticks at 40yds...and im glad to say we all passed ,anyway it was a good course to do and well worth the £150 ,the instructors eamon ,john and bert were all gentlemen and were ready to help at the drop of a hat ...:)

Did you get a DSC1 certificate? as that is what you did.
£150 much better than the £300 that the big suppliers are taking for it.
Well done on passing

this is not the dsc1 course it is a deer rifle course so you can get your box ticked for a deer caliber rifle ,but the course is pretty tough ,you have to study everything from deer id ,seasons , and gralloching etc ,so its a good place to start if your going to do your dsc1.im not sure if sacs run a dsc1 course...
