    Duralyt problem

I have just tried to zero my new duralyt 3-12x50 i at 50 yards and have ran out of elevation and it is still shooting 4" low it is in Warne mounts and Burris bases on a 308 t3 Any ideas or is it a faulty scope? the rifle groups well with all 3 shots within 1/2" and the windage is spot on just low as I said.

Hi mate, it will almost certainly be an issue with your mounts. . I would remove the mounts and bases and check all is well there before looking at the scope. . Maybe a shim in one of the bases will sort you out.

As mentioned, most likely your mounts but the Duralyt's don't have oodles of adjustment.
I'd point out these things are parrallaxed to 100yds so zeroing at 50 may not be ideal.

Not wishing to be patronising but were the dials in the middle of their range before you started? Easy thing to do...

It's not always the mounts, I had a brand new Docter Optics scope that had a busted elevation.

Check the reticle actually moves by looking through it as you wind it.

These are the same mounts as i use on my last scope , in reality at 50 yard the rifle should be shooting high not 4" low at full adjustment.
