    Deer Management Book

    Hi All,

The farms that I currently fox on have a fair few Roe on them and the farmers have said they're happy for me to take the odd one. Clearly I'll be sitting DSC 1 as it seems pretty much compulsory these days but I was wondering if there was book out there which dealt with deer management i.e. how to select the best animals to take and practical advice on stalking. I suppose something along the lines of Robert Bucknell's "Foxing With Lamp and Rifle" is what I've got in mind.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Jim

+1 on Willie gunns suggestions all great books , ps dsc isn't compulsory so if you have your permission and a decent deer stalking mentor to show you how to gralloch etc you may not need to do it ,
