    Vectan SP - Round-grain or flattened-grain double-base spherical powders. SP2, SP3 and SP8 have been designed for pistol calibre use, SP8 being specific to the 9mm Parabellum. SP7, SP9, SP10, SP11 and SP12 are rifle powders, SP13 is solely for reloading the 50BMG

    Vectan Tubal - Tubular single-base stick-shaped rifle powders, rated in decreasing burn-rate order from the fastest (Tubal 2000) to the slowest (Tubal 8000)

    Have you tried any that would be the same burn rate as H4831 or slower for the 300 .

    I have purchased Tu 2000 for use in my .223 - seems to work well in my Remington SPS
    Loads are a bit thin on the ground though
    Anybody used it with 55 grain bullets?

    Tubal 7000 or 8000 is a similar burn rate to h4831
    I would go 7000 personally
    I had better results with the faster powders in the 300WM (tried n160 and N165, tried H4831 and IMR 4831, faster was better in both cases)

    here is one for 8000 though:
    2 loads available in .300 Winchester Magnum with powder equal Vectan Tubal 8000
