    Deer and goats

I put a few pics up last year on a bit of Fallow hunting and just found my SD card and was reviewing the pics (100`s) and found a couple of new to add.

Those dots on the hill are feral goats,I saw about 400 stinkies that arvo.No shots of course as I was after a fallow buck. For the bloke that wants to knock over lots of targets these are ideal as they are not welcome on most places.
To me one nice fallow buck is worth 500 goats!

I saw this buck with harem from the top of other side of the creek valley from about 3 k`s away and eventually making my way past other mobs I got down my side of the valley and 1/2 way up the other but couldn't get any closer due to an errant wind.
He wasn't what I was after anyway thank god as they all whiffed and shifted over the top of the range.I would have been peed off if he was a 'good `un'

A bit of sneaking like a wombat got me in fairly close to these fallow does asleep in the arvo sun,I was chuffed to get in tight on them too especially when Bob advised " you wont get near any of the doe`s they are real watchful due to the hunting pressure"...I got lucky!

I may have already posted a similar pic of our camp, just `ol Bob with Billy the terrier too.

    Hi John
    Good to see your photos.
Camp looks civilised with all the luxury items.........
No place for 'stinkies' in food chain?
    Cheers, F

Did you lads note the antlers in the tree? A reason why one doesnt crack at alternative animals when on track for a primary target.

I did spot it, nice looking animal! Whats the biggest you have had? Bit of a mismanaged species here, the best bucks being taken before their prime; I am guessing with the size of the bush out there they do manage to get fairly big as they can easily 'lose' people?
