Ive had it for 6 months and bought it on a whim for emergency contact at some of the ground I stalk as theres no telephone signal.
The serial number is OG351236 and I bought it second hand.
A chap I know that is into his HAM stuff tells me its as new.
I can provide a copy of the CHIRP software to program it too

Our Shoot Captain is a HAM that knows his onions and we have been using VX7r's for 10 years...its real fun on a boring peg having an Easyjet skim the drives!!
    RD.

it was advice that was given to prevent the possible breaking of the law, thats that.(and if he is a Ham as far as the rules are concerned he is breaking the law. end of)

I'm not going to continue on this lads Add,

    and i apologize to Limulus

Bob, you have just lost Lim his sale... don't get this hassle anywhere else.

Now youve piqued my interest Bob.
In what way is using this radio 'breaking the law' if you have a HAM operators license?
This radio IS FULLY UK LEGAL FOR USE BY ANY HAM LICENSED OPERATOR.

There are modifications that can be done to open up non released wavelengths, should you wish to do that.

in edit: ANYONE can use this to receive, its only when transmitting that a license is required and if this was the only method of contacting the emergency services if I had a broken leg miles away from civilisation I really wouldnt give a flying f00k how illegal it was!

Bob youve been most unhelpful with these comments within a for sale thread.
Do you question whether a vehicle for sale will be sold to someone without a license?
Do you question if said vehicle can exceed the speed limit?

I'll close the thread now and remove this from sale here.
