Thread: White fallow

    White fallow

I have recently taken on some land with a large amount of Fallow. I have been out culling the muntjac on the estate and seen 2 different white Fallow bucks. How usual is it for Fallow to be white?

    Cheers

We have a few up here. The keepers leave them as it helps to spot the groups in the heavy cover. I like to see them myself.

I've found they're not quite as common as black fallow but not unusual

Quite normal where I stalk. Not treated any different to menil, dark or common coloured fallow.

+1 nice to see but too easy to be seen by the rats in vans sadly norma has a point.

We often see white fallow in our syndicate wood and where I work all the lighter coloured fallow are left for clients as they are easier for them to spot.

used to see a few white does as well as white bucks on a farm I used to shoot in Hertfordshire. My friend shot a white sorrel there. Also isn't White Hart referring to a white fallow buck or is it a white Red stag?
