Ticks will the freezer kill them

I am thinking of starting one of my labs off tracking deer
I have access to deer skins / feet etc which i would use ( often with a high tick burden)
Do you know if putting them in the freezer will kill the ticks.
I dont want to bring them back home if i cant kill them.

    Regards
