    What can I bring back

Off to the states soon, and was wondering what I could bring back in the way of reloading bits and bobs. Don't really want to get into hot water or have a visit off a customs officer wearing a marigold glove.
    cheers neil

whatever you want except ( powder primers nv scopes and some mill dot scopes ) buy bullets dies brass and any bits you want thats if you can find any. there was a post about this some time back with a printed document about what the US homeland security allow you to take out of the USA. print it of and take it with you and your fac. happy buying

Just bear in mind your personal allowance of "other goods" (i.e. the cash allowance beyond your duty free booze and tobacco), anything over that is liable to duty and VAT, if you don't declare it you can risk a heavy penalty and a criminal record.

You cannot legally purchase ammo in ths US without a valid hunting license. We fly out tomorrow for the 2014 .50cal World Championship.

Taking guns and ammo is easy enough with prior planning. Airlines need advance notification and documentation. We need 6NIAs done well in advance to take rifles/ammo in and then back out of the US. Limit on 5kg of ammo per person.
Specialist boarding for working dogs in Staffordshire.
All breeds of dogs trained, puppies and older dogs sometimes available

Really? I have never been asked for a hunting license to buy ammo. When I was younger, ok much younger, I was sometimes asked for ID to prove I was of legal age (18 rifle, 21 pistol).

Perhaps as a foreign national you need one, otherwise in most of the US it's just a matter of showing you're of legal age. Realistically if you walked up to the checkout of the average Dicks/Cabelas/Walmart with ammo they probably won't ask for anything unless you're really young (or in certain states like NJ that have restrictions on ammo.

I've been going to the Statues on just about a weekly basis and have brought back all sorts of stuff. Brass, bullets etc need no declaration. Loaded ammunition requires a simple form to be filled in at check in (a NOTOC..notice to Captain). Your checked in bag is tagged with an additional lable and that is it. Might be worth letting the airline staff know at the check in end so they have the form ready and waiting (experience of Virgin only)
Certainly as far as New York, Florida, Nevada and california go, I've never been asked for any type of licence etc. Primers/powder however are not allowed.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Rog.
What happens when you land in UK with the Ammo? Do Customs check your FAC and enter it onto it?

    Yorkie.
