hi guys I am currently on my 4th knife build so not that experienced, I have done my first ever file work on the spine which is turning out rather nice now I am using spacers which I have not done before and want to fill up the spine work with a black epoxy can anyone advise on the best epoxy to use in black or if I can colour up my clear epoxy, thanks wayne

In the various 'glue wars' threads (yes, really) golf shaft glue came out very well indeed and one of its variations is black, so no need to fart on mixing dye with crappy glue

Product ref: 9095B on the Discount Online golf store | Online Golf Shop | Gamola Golf website.

This stuff is outrageously strong and, because it's already black in colour, you can use it under handle scales in lieu of spacers if you include a thin 'gasket' around your pin holes to ensure an even thickness on assembly :)
