You probably could get an attic passed off for storage but what a ball ache that would be each and every time you wanted a gun up and down ladders minimum head room

unless its a converted attic and its bedroom size with stairs and full height then thats fine

    Hi,

I have a cabinet in the loft, laying down and screwed into the joists and had no problems getting it approved in Hampshire. I do not have permanent access and have to pull the ladder down to get to the guns, I used it like this for 20 years and it is not much of an inconvenience and at least makes the cabinet hard to find. I now have a second cabinet in the spare bedroom and this has made me lazy, only keeping the less used guns in the loft now.
As an aside, the second cabinet was because I acquired more guns and the fact that the cabinets were in two different locations meant that I avoided needing additional security measures due to the number of guns held.
