    range finder binoculars warrenty

    Hi Guys

Been toying with the idea of range finding binos, but the idea of spending 2000 plus and only having 2 years warrenty (swarovski ones) on the electical side of things is really putting me off .

does anyone know how much warrenty you get on the electrical side of things on the zeiss rf binos ????

    ATB

Does the Zeiss website not answer this? While I understand the concern, I think it does need to be put in some perspective of the likelihood of the thing going wrong, further mitigated by the excellent customer service outside warrantable terms the premium brands tend to exhibit.

Lifetime (30 years & transferable) on the optics & 5 years on the rangefinder. They don't feel to me like they would break easily & I have them in my hands most days. Mine were secondhand but had been well looked after.

I think the other question to ask possibly is 'how expensive is it to replace the electronics?'

As to my view of what Swaro might say? There are many, many examples on this and other forums of consistent excellence in Customer Service from them, inside and outside warranty. I had the same thought as you - but I have bought a pair regardless, which I am delighted with. Read in to this what you will....!!

I know two people with swaro rangfinders over 2 years old which have had to go back for electrical problems and both of them came back with no charge for the works and a free service while they were there. I havent actually herd of anyone being charged by swaro for electrical work. I have no doubt they will charge if need be and its a big fix but if its a minor electrical problem i think they will just fix it off there own back from what ive seen. Hopefully i dont need to find out with mine any time soon

Thirty years of a warranty on the binocular and two years on electronic parts.

I think you have 6 years in England, regardless what the manufacturer says
