Thread: Beam bar scales or electronic?

    Beam bar scales or electronic?

Starting to get my wish list of re-loading equipment sorted. Of which, the scales seem to be the most important.
What are the views of those that use standard beam scales Vs electronic, is one type better/easier than the other?

Beam scales every time, no worries of flat batterys etc. Either RCBS 10-10 or 505's are both good scales

Beam, no worries about power and fluctuations - dead batteries , mobile phone interference, wall wart regulation etc etc.

I agree, why add all the possible problems. Beam every time for me too, I use a set of Scott Parker tuned Ohaus Lyman M5's, chuck in a Target Master (Battery operated) and it cant be beat imo. Only thing I have to worry about is a draft as they are soooo sensitive
