Process of elimination what do you have around but it's pointed cleaves I would say small or young fallow or Sika ,it would be a large roe but I would expect it to be round if it was a roe
We do have a few roe about ( more than you'd think merlin ) and my own thoughts are that this is a roe's rear foot whilst running.
I think the fairly soft sand has been pushed well in as you can see the rear marks from the foot, usually a good indication a deer is running hard.
Around here I was surprised there were no paw prints close behind!
