    Registration number for transfer

Thanks to a local taxi driver the car that this plate has been sat on for the last 9 years is now a write off and won't be replaced like for like so the plate has to go.

The photo only shows a partial number - the power of Photoshop, but there are two numbers after the S.

I did a very quick online valuation just with one company and they said the plate was worth 550 to me after charges which are initial retention fee of 105 and transfer fee of 25 and whatever their mark up plus VAT. Without any mark up that comes to over 800 if you were to buy it from a specialist. I can forward a copy of the valuation e-mail to anyone who is serious about buying he number from me.

I'd like to see at least the 550 they have valued it at so that is what I will ask for it.

I will also throw in a free wheel cover to match the main theme of the reg number - be aware though that it has been on the car for 9 years so is not new!! It will fit 215/65R16 or similar sized tyres.

The retention form has been sent to DVLA so should be back with me in a couple of weeks and the insurance company have confirmed they will provide a letter of 'no interest' in the number once I have the retention form back so it is all above board.

The reg can only be transferred to a car that was first registered in 1998 or later.

If you are interested please PM me.

    Thanks.

Perfect for a Defender 110 Double Cab that is not off the road as some Service Monkey stripped the threads in the aluminium housing that secures the TD5 oil cyclone filter cap but managed to catch a couple of threads at the bottom by inserting non standard (longer) LR M5 bolts that didn’t take too kindly to c600 miles of vibration and pulled the remaining threads before dumping all oil on the A303!!

Purchase DB's reg and I'll tell you.

In truth more went over the windscreen of the tailing BMW which is frankly the only positive!

Got the retention certificate in the post today so will be putting this plate up for sale through the dealers shortly as money needed to buy replacement car.

Perfect plate for a woodland stalker and especially one with initials SEL/SBL/SEI/SBI...

I have had a number of enquiries so anyone interested please get back to me - first one to offer me 500 gets it.

    Cheers.
