    I believe it is celenium but I am no expert my hunting group has had to buy the test unit for the culled beasts.
    If they fail then the German government from a dept near Aachen pay more money to the hunter than he would normally get from the game dealer to soften the blow. My mates a vet over there and he told me about the scheme.

    I shot one last year in the Pfalzerwald which had a radiation output of 565 Bq, the limit is 600 Bq for it to be allowed into the food chain, one was shot the morning I got mine that was over the limit.

    I was told the contamination had come from Chernobyl, the radiation levels increase in the summer due to the Boar eating Fungi which seems to concentrate the radioactive elements/

    Dead on answer very correct. But lots of Germans go into the forest picking mushrooms and they have not been told of the dangers YET.
