Tips for training a cocker pup to track

    Hey folks,

Got a one year old cocker and gonna start training him to track soon in some woods nearby where I live. I have got some fake blood from bushwear to get me started until I have some deer skin/feet, he's got the basic obedience sorted and has been working well on the grouse so far but I'd like to concentrate on the deer tracking, does anyone have any tips or advice?

    Cheers

    Chris

I'd also be interested in any tips. I have a young sprocker which I intend to train to track deer and blood. I have 3 working springers who are only interested in Pheasant coz thats what they know and show no inclination to hunt/track any other species
