    barnes varmin-a-tor

    Hi guys
    I been looking these barnes varmin-a-tor 50 grn for 223
    I been reseaching them I found a little bit on them but what I found isnt that bad really but I been looking for reloading data and stuff and its very slim on info.
    Just woundering any of you guys use them or now any thing about them, I now they are alot cheaper than the v-max but are they as good.

    They are a 50 grain bullet and you will be loading them in .223 what other data do you want nicky? Just look up the data for a 50 grain bullet with the powder that you are using and start developing.
    Try a box and see if they are any good for your needs. It's a reputable company so you shouldn't have any problems.
    It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

    Cheers for that 8x57 I'll get some and I will find up a load and fine tune. The powder im am using is ramshot tac.

    If this helps, they list a 50gr barnes loading using Tac.

    I've used them in my 223.
    They are the most frangible bullet I've tried -almost explosive on vermin out to 200 yards and possibly further.
