    Staggered DSC1

Can you do the DSC1 in a few parts, rather than a 3 day stint?
Due to the nature of my work I often find it hard to get 3 consecutive days off work.

I don't have any stalking ground (I do have a rifle but for paid stalks) because it's hard explaining to people that I'd need a mentor and all that jazz. Once I say that it'd be me and A.N.Other they don't like it. Especially as I have nobody to mentor me.
If I have DSC1 no mentor so much easier....then I just need an open ticket!

Thank you Mark. Norfolk is a little far for a one day thing I am afraid though. Unless you had something else in mind?

Happy days, where do I do the online learning. I think I must have missed that on the BDS site

Cheers mate, spot on. That'd work better for me. Do you have to use your own rifle for the shooting test?

At donnington they had an estate rifle for use on the range and simulated stalk

    Greener Jim.

If you fancy a trip to Barry Island, South Wales in Jan/feb, we offer assessment only as well as the full 3 day course. If you need to borrow a rifle for the day, we can supply one. I would advise anyone enrolling for assessment only, to make sure they study at home beforehand. As mentioned earlier there are on line study aids, interactive disc (ultimate deer data, etc) as well as the DSC manuals published by BDS, Donnington etc, etc.

Well ideally I'd like to shoot my own rifle but since it's iron sights only and I need to develop a load for it I may have t use an estate rifle if mine isn't ready in time.
I would definitely just be doing the 1 day course and studying at home before hand, free time I have, free time away from work, not so much!
