Rutting fallow

Hi all,
I'm heading out tomorrow with our very own ELMER FUDD for a second time lucky go at the fallow on his ground. Exciting stuff, I'm looking forward to it and Barry has been a top bloke inviting me back for free.
But here's my question: With the rut happening about this time of year, will anything I shoot be fit for the table, or will it be "rutty" and grim like everyone's worst idea of game?
Do I eat it, or do I give it away to neighbors and colleagues I don't like? :D

Depends what you shoot. It is early yet I wouldn't imagine bucks up there like with me will be rutty at all yet as they are still feeding and will start soon to travel to rutting stands.prickets would be fine regardless. It is a bit too strong fore when in proper rut but I think thats as I eat it regularly. Those who do not that I have giving rutty stuff to say its lovely and gamey.

Hi Simon I shot a big fallow buck today may make silver if not bronze so good age buck and he would be ok for the table
