Thread: What reticle are you using on .223 for foxes?

What reticle are you using on .223 for foxes?

What reticule are you guys using on your .223's for lamping foxes.?

I currently have the Leupold Mk4 6.5-20 X 50mm LR/T scopes with Mil Dot reticule on both my .223 and .308 with Mk4 rings and US Optic 10moa bases.

I am thinking the .223 is over scoped and if I decide to change scopes wondered what recticle most folks were using

Number 4 or 4a on everything.

Can not fathom why anyone needs mil dots or one of those Zeiss Christmas trees on a scope that has turrets.

If you can dial the drop, a clean reticle seems best to me.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you......

No 4 on my conquest , does me fine under the lamp , perhaps not ideal for long range varminting but I only use my .223 for Charlie

Until recently my shooting was all long range target hence the Mil Dot
my woodland stalking was all done with a 4X Weaver atop of a Rem700 BDL in .270
