Distance: One inch high @ 100 yards
Why: Point and shoot out to 200 yards

+1 1" high at 100 works for me

depends what your using it for, if its short range woodland eg. less than 100yds then a 100yd zero is fine but if you want it for the hill or for foxing you will want the impact closer to 200yds

I 'point blank' all my rifles, based on a reasonable kill zone of the quarry, and the ballistics of the round I use

1" high at 100 yards does the job nicely. I try to limit myself to 200yards and so it is point and shoot to that range.

It is then 4" low at 250 yards still gives a kill zone if the range estimation was a little optimistic !

mine zeroed at 150 yds, scope 2" above barrel this gives me +/- 0.5" from 35yds out to 165yds and dead on zero at 50yds and 150, have a look on norma web site and the ballistic calculator, works a treat for me.

As with the replys above 1" high at 100 yards is good.

    2" kill zone using 100gn bullet @2900fps = 171 yd zero 195yds max zero
    4" kill zone using 100gn bullet @2900fps = 211yd zero 246yds max zero..

I use a 200 yards zero, with 100 gn bullet travelling at 3000fps, this keeps me in the kill zone between 50 and 250 yards. Means things are kept very simple put the crosshairs on the animal and pull the trigger.

If you are stalking in England/broad leaf woodland then a 100 yards zero might work better but for me and the type of terrain I stalk 200 yards seems to work best.
