    Explosive?.......Not!

Varmint rounds loaded with "Frangible bullets" are not "explosive" (they are not filled with a separate charge) & do not have an "explosive" effect, they are more in line with a result from a claymore anti personnel mine , large numbers of small parts of the original, giving a shredding result, To penetrate to the vitals, these frangible bullets have to be driven at their optimum speed , & within their range limits, to perform as designed, & they are intended for fairly small vermin, so I would offer that the term explosive is incorrect & probably emotive for tree huggers & anti's.8)

I like "frangible", myself, citing "explosive results" when applicable.~Muir
