    Swarovski z6i Decisions

    Hi All!

I was after any feedback on the Z6i In the 5-30X50 or the 2.5-15X56 both with the BT turrets.

I was looking for S&B precision hunter with the mil ret but as they are no longer made..... I have been told that the two above scope's are some of the best made but i would like the Pro's and Con's of both if they have any. I do like S&B Scopes but I think a PM2 is not really suited to the shooting I do, 90% stalking.

    Thanks - Ben

There's quite a gap between 2.5-15 and 5-25... The middle ground is 3-18x50 which is great for woodland and will also get me out to 1,000 on the range.

Not sure why they don't offer a 5 - 30X56 as that would make your selection easy.

I have been told the 2.5-15X56 is on another level to other scopes with the light gathering?? but the 56 objective puts me off a little....... The land I stalk has a lot of Sika and they move at first or last thing at night so its light gathering vs high mag.....

    Agree with TS on this.

Ben, the 2.5-15 is an exceptional scope for stalking - sits on my 270 and will not be being removed...!!

Depending on where you are in Shropshire, we might be able to RV for you to try? Feel free to PM me.

I have two 2.5-15x56 scopes both with BT . They are brilliant scopes without a doubt. I don't have the illuminated reticle a on mine and have never needed them so far. The BT works really well and is very accurate with the Swarovski ballistic App.

I live in the big smoke of WEM!! I am leaning towards the 2.5-15x56 now......

    I have a PM11 4-16 X 50 and its a great all round scope being very robust.

I also have used a Z6i with a BT and would agree that for first / last light the Z6i is the scope to have.
