Thread: Trail cam query

    Trail cam query

Does anyone know of a trail cam model which has the facility to set the time when it is active?.

The reason I ask is that I have a problem with a fox getting into a hen run. I set the camera but all I've got so far is daytime shots of hens which are doing the batteries in.
It'd be ideal if I could set the on/off time to limit this.

I've checked the rambling perimeter fence and plugged every conceivable gap etc but somehow Charlie is getting in And out with a hen and killing others.
Also have sat up on portable high seat as long as I can with a shotgun.
I'll be glad to nail this one and so will the owner of the chickens.
    Thanks

Some of the newer Spypoint cameras can be set for operational times and can even be controlled directly from your computer if you subscribe to a Spypoint account

The Little Acorn is also very easy on batteries. You will however get bored out of your mind of all the photos of your chickens.

The Aldi trail camera has that facility.
I got mine from Haggis Hunter and its a great bit of kit for the price.
only slight down side is it says the trigger range is 20m I'd say it's more like 10-15m
Don't think I'll be using mine for a fortnight if you want a loan to try it out.

Just had a look at the Little Acorn ones and surprised at the good price so think I'll order couple of those.
