Thread: B&S SL5+ cabinet?

    B&S SL5+ cabinet?

Hi everyone I'm new to all this and currently going through the application process for my FAC.

I have spotted a Bratton and sound SL5+ cabinet for sale and I'm wondering if I would be able to fit 2 scoped rifles (.22/.17hmr rimmy and potentially a .22CF with scopes) and potentially 2 shot guns in (one O/U and one semi auto)

I know it says it's they are not "made" for scoped rifles but I have seen a few people mange to fit them in and this one is at a really good price and it fits well into the space I have allocated!

    Thanks for looking

    Dan

Anyone have one of these cabinets?

You would be lucky to get 2 scoped rifles and 1 shotgun in there.

Would it take 2 scoped rifles on their own? As I can add a shotgun cabinet at a later date

Just rang my arms dealer and a rifle with a 50mm scope comes in at 9.5 inches so I think I will be safe with this cabinet "for now"

I've got a MT5+/ML5+ (the taller muzzle loader version) and I can squeeze my scoped .308 , .223 and .22LR into it but it isn't ideal, my two shotguns are in another safe next to it. I'm looking to replace my MT5+ and ST3 for the RL9+ (loads of room)

Ye that's what I will look to do I think, it's just going at a good price so it means I have more to spend on the actual rifles lol

Hi mate I would say go for a larger cabinet straight away because you will need one eventually. I have the RL7+ and get 5 scoped rifles in there and my combi gun at a squeeze, but I still needed another for the shotgun. If you search around you'll get one for decent money and it'll also be less than buying two!

There's a few on ebay at the moment at decent prices as I've been looking to get a bigger one meself instead of the two I have.

Also there's nothing more annoying than clanking the rifle or scope against the metal of the cabinet because you don't have enough room. I cringe every time I do it and I'm ultra careful!!

This one I have found is on my doorstep.

I think if this one goes for stupid money then I will just bite the bullet and pay for a larger item new.
