remington yellow jackets - any good?

Recently been handed a box of Remington Yellow-Jacket high velocity .22LR rounds.

    Anyone know anything about these?

Any good? The bullets have a very peculiar shape, to my eye at least.

I use them . A good all rounder for pest & vermin with that wee bit extra punch. The only downside is the box they come in
Hope this is of any help to you

What sort of range will they take a fox?

Ive shot foxes at 100 + yards with ease
Got it zeroed at 75 yards
Ment to say you still get the ping with a moderator on because of the hyper velocity

I have an avid dislike for Remington 22LR rim fire ammunition but the only way to tell how well they work is to shoot them.~Muir

In my 22, Remington rounds don't seal and I get blowback - not nice.

Bloody hell. What are the signs this is happening?

A loud bang and a jet of gas and powder residue coming back along the bolt and hitting you in the face. I would probably not have noticed so much if it was a left handed rifle (as all rifles should be) - instead it is cack handed so the ejection port is on the right hand side. Most bolt actions will divert leaking gas off to the bolt side.

Remington cases are a little bit smaller than RWS / eley etc cases and designed for American semi-autos. Try them, but wear safety specs first. I think they are more effective if you just through the full box at a rabbit.
