I have a Hawke 3-9 x 50 on my .22lr, and very pleased with it. I think they're very good value scopes.

I use a Hawke HD 4x32mm Mil Dot scope on a .22 and it is all I need to knock over a squirrel or pigeon at 100 yards or further.

What .22 do you have and what distance do you set it up at?

    My .22lr is a BRNO #2
Zeroed spot on at 50 paces (i.e., 50 yards approx), and I use the MAP reticle in the Hawke scope to headshoot bunnies out to about 110 paces, off bipod usually, but do sometimes use sticks.

Hi Dan , i use a hawk scope with my add on NV on my 17 , cant remember which one it is but it has a side focusing wheel to get a good crisp image through the nv ( Mini 14), atb arron.
