    Suugested loads for .243 Howa, 26" barrel

    Dear All,

    Just got a new toy, so need to develop suitable load. Have Varget, H335, and selection of Vit powders

    Not sure what twist the barrel is at present, also normally load at 10 thou off lands.

    Some pointers would be helpfull

    got howa myself,just finished doing test on mine.

    90grain speer spitzer sp
    36 1/2 grains of varget
    fed large primer
    norma brass

    set about 0.20 off the lands and keyholed 5 rounds

    I have a 1:8 twist .243. 42.7 gr N165, 105gr AMax, ~10 thou off the lands, ~2860fps.
    87gr VMax, 44.6 gr RL-19 , right on the lands.
    107gr SMK, 43.6gr N165, ~5 thou into the lands.
    [edit] - Sako brass. CCI 200 primers.
