Thread: Scam emails

    Scam emails

I've just received an email starting...

    "Hello Dear".

It then invites me to "sing" into my PayPal account.

If only they were all that easy to spot
    "Don't say I didnae warn ye !"

Great scam shame they are not so bright what are you to sing?

They didn't name a tune but I can think of a few lyrics that end in "off"
    "Don't say I didnae warn ye !"

Me too also. The best on is from Halifax where my security has been breached, strange as don't have an Halifax account.

It's the constant 'phone calls that get to me sometimes. It's okay on the iphone because you can just block the number. Of course they have a few numbers and it takes a bit but that fettles them. But the house 'phone is different. There's no way to block them. Probably because the telephone companies get a slice of the action of each call that is made. I just don't answer them, but they keep calling. I've done the preference thing, but not really noticed anyone taking any notice of that.

Pretty much everything you buy online they ask for your number and I'm pretty sure they all sell them, even if BT doesn't...

    Good timing on this thread.

If anyone receives an email purporting to contain nude photographs of Susan Boyle, do NOT under ANY circumstances open it!

It contains nude pictures of Susan Boyle

Not sure about that, I get the feeling that BT probably do. Just moved house and the level of calls has gone through the roof.
