    Single die wanted please

    After a big favour please,

Does anyone have a second hand good condition redding .243 neck die for sale,

And if you do could I ask that if I purchase it cold you send it ASAP and I'll send the cash over at the Same time, I need the dies soonest so that I can do some tests with the new rifle and my proposed load data, ready for the weekend,

    Thank you

    Bob.

Ps the reason I need a redding one is so that it slots into the fl set I have.

    hi Al

    that's very kind big man,

the plan is to carry out 2 loads that I have used before,

1, using the brass that has been fired in the rifle and just neck sized

2, using the brass that has been fired in the rifle and just full sized

the test will be done with the same batch of bullets all weighed and the same with the powder, and primers etc.

the loads will be fired from the same rifle at the same target in a wind free area and at a set distance of 100 yards with 5 minutes between shots, these will be taken in 3 shot groups and recorded by an independent witness,

all to confirm my thought on full or neck sizing brass in a hunting rifle.

regards and thank you for the offer big man but I am in no rush and willing to wait out on the die as and when as they say

hope you and the family are in fine fettle,

    bob.

    Hi Bob,
would be interested in the result as and when.
I neck whilst my mate full sizes we are always arguing the pros and cons.

Hope you and yours are doing OK.

    Good luck

    hi Steve

all doing better, had a small pay rise but being in full time work means a nice Christmas .

I am like you I neck size all my stuff in the 243 but I full size the 20 tac and 6mmbr, but I want to see if it makes a difference in real life with a hunting rifle rather than a custom rifle etc.

    will let you know

have a good one big man

    bob.
