.243 BSA CF2 Complete outfit with ammo and Pecar scope 300

I have been asked by the widow of a shooting friend of mine to dispose of his guns. Therefore I have for sale this BSA CF2 in .243 the bore and crown look very good.
There are a few minor knocks and scratches on the stock. There is some wear and tear on the bottom plate area (see pics). The blueing is in good nick.
It still has its original open sights, the scope is a Pecar Variable 3-7 x 35 with a cross reticle in good condition. The rifle comes with the scope, a sling, 70 x 100gr Winchester soft points and 40 x 80gr winch sps.
The old chap didn't used to do a lot of deer stalking and the rifle does not look overused.

I am asking 300 for the lot.

There is 100 worth of ammo and the scope may be worth 200 so that means you get the rifle for free! A very affordable way to get a complete ready to go stalking rifle set up. Pick up much preferred. But can at send to RFD at cost if needs be.

That would clean up very easily, stock refinished / touched up, the bottom metal painted or ceracoated & that would make an ideal first rifle - Those old BSA's do shoot well & are nice to handle. The Pecar is a sensible scope too. - The only thing I'd change is the rings - that would make it into a nice classy bang stick!
My first 243 was a BSA & I still miss it. It had character without being tacky like some other similar vintage rifles.

    Thanks Ian,
John Knibbs do lots of spares and if anyone wanted to tidy up the trigger guard/bottom plate a new one is only 30.
The stock feels really nice with a decent palm swell and the cheek piece brings your eye just right for the scope. (Which is more than can be said for my Sako 75!
The trigger is really nice too, crisp and no creep at all. Not too heavy.
