    Trains and transporting

I did have a bit of a look about but the only reference I could find regarding Trains and Firearms was in 2009. My question is - are there any special conditions imposed (special conditions - not the application of common sense such as hard case and locks) for transporting a firearm on a train?
Thanks in advance for any help.

This has come up before so there is quite a bit of info here on it.
    Here's a link to a thread I started...

Thank you very much for that, just spent some time reading it all and I am of the opinion that discretion is the order of the day. I was obviously using the wrong search terms because I couldn't find anything newer than 2009.
The London Bridge range is pretty much inaccessible by car but the Underground is pretty close. All sorted as far as I am concerned.

I've written at length on this topic but I think I can now summarise it in the words of Gandalf the Grey: "Keep it secret. Keep it safe".

yes be discrete chances are most of staff don't know the conditions of carriage regarding firearms anyway.
