    urine on meat

Shot a young roe doe on Sunday morning, during the removal of the
bladder a small amount of urine was lost in and around the anus area
I immediately wiped the area with tissue I had on me, and again when I got
home I have hung the carcass and plan to butcher tomorrow evening.will
The meat be OK around the area or is it best discarded?

I have always carefully collected and we then have subsequently eaten the kidneys. Have you ever worried about steak and kidney pie/pudding being made from urine producing organs?

Bit harsh to call a horse a 'urine producing organ'....oh, sorry, you mean the kidneys.

I had always thought that urine was sterile, however, that would be subject to a urinary infection
